SCYO (9th - 12th graders)
SCYO meets weekly offering a variety of options for teens to choose from as we are aware they are all at different places in their faith walk. SCYO meets in the CYO room.
Sunday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Dinner is served from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m.)
"Life Nights", present church teachings in a variety of innovative, teen friendly formats. Social nights, "Issue nights" and service projects are also part of Sunday evening programming.
Wednesday evening offer three options:
1. Didache: 5:00 -6:00 p.m. with an academic format, students will have an outstanding opportunity to have "theology; in a classroom setting complete with assignments, tests and grades.
2. Bible Study: 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. consists of Mass readings for the upcoming Sunday with opportunities for scripture and in-depth discussion on each reading. This will challenge teens to apply the readings to their own lives.
3. Small Groups: 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. is an opportunity for (guys and girls in separate groups) to share where they have experienced Christ in their previous week as well as offering prayer intentions. All in an effort to make teens more keenly aware of Christ at work in their day to day lives.
JCYO meets Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in the JCYO room.
The JCYO program is designed to give students an opportunity for building a community of Catholic friends in hopes they can continue to build on those healthy, holy friendships throughout Middle School and High School.
Periodic service projects deepen their understanding of social justice and social events continue to build community within their group.
Topic nights will be on establishing good prayer habits through different forms of prayer as well as "issue nights" on topics of morality such as, gossip, healthy male and female friendships and other issues that affect middle school teens.
Plan to eat dinner before or bring something to eat quick. Snack sign-up is available.
