We cannot give what we do not have. In order for us to welcome others into the life of the Church, we must first properly order our own spiritual lives. Our time spent in prayer with our Creator is one of the most critical investments we can make.
Eucharistic Adoration
Imagine if you felt more balanced, peaceful and refreshed in the midst of all the world’s demands. That cross in your life? Imagine that it is no longer weighing you down like it used to. Are you looking for something that will transform you from the inside out? All you need is 60 minutes every week for a heart-to-heart with Jesus Christ! What a gift!
Devotional Prayer Groups
Praying in community is a gift that enriches our lives in many ways. The saints have gifted us particular devotions, such as the rosary and Divine Mercy chaplet, that focus on particular aspects of growing in relationship with God. We have many groups dedicated to a consistent time of communal prayer, and you are invited to be a part of it! No matter which devotion might interest you, there's something for everyone.
Men of St. Joseph
The Men of St. Joseph is an association of Christian men, united under the Catholic Church, who meet weekly to pray together and encourage each other to be the spiritual leaders of their families. Some might say our goal is a bit "lofty": become stronger in our relationship with Christ and in our faith so we can help get ourselves and our families to heaven. It's a bold purpose, but in the end what else really matters?
Lectio Divina
Jesus wants us to know Him personally. What better way to get to know Jesus than to read and meditate on His Word together in fellowship. Lectio Divina is a method of prayer dating back to a time when few owned bibles or knew how to read. We have options in-person or virtually.
Word of Life Bible Study
If your soul pants for the Lord as the deer pants for streams of water, this is great place to start—with the Word of God. It is your very life. Within this application Bible study, we study what the Scripture says and how to apply this to our lives. It is a study to make disciples of Jesus Christ through study of his Word, which emphasizes our Lord’s parting words in Matthew 28:18-20 “….go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”
Korean Prayer Group
The Korean Prayer group cultivates communication and fosters evangelization among first and second-generation Korean American Catholics. We gather to pray, meditate, and grow spiritually as a community within the greater community of St. Michael.
