March for Life is a peaceful, joyful, vibrant, and joyful rally of young people from all walks of the country. On the anniversary of Roe v. Wade's 1973 Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion in all 50 US states, thousands of prolifers gather on the National Mall to march to Capitol Hill. It is the largest annual demonstration for human rights in the world.
This isn't just a protest We gather to celebrate every human life, in every stage of development, in every corner of the world.
We envision a world in which every life is valued and protected.
Even with the wonderful blessing of Roe v. Wade being overturned, which allows more freedom at the state level to enact pro-life laws, the necessary work to build a culture of life in the United States of America is not finished. The goal of the national March for Life is to not only change laws at the state and federal level, but to change the culture to ultimately make abortion unthinkable.
OUR PILGRIMAGE Our pilgrimage starts January 18 after school has let out, where we will set out for Washington DC with other youth groups from the archdiocese. Once we arrive, we will join with our fellow youth groups and march for Life. The Archdiocese of Mobile will march in a unified group so your student will be surrounded by chaperones and other students on the same trip that they are on. After the March is concluded, we will head home. The trip is focused around the sanctity of life and should help your student grow a deeper respect and dignigty of their bodies and those around us.
