Thank you for being a part of the St. Michael Parish family! We’re excited to announce that we are participating in #iGiveCatholic on #GivingTuesday, our nation’s first-ever Catholic day of giving! This year it will be Nov 30 from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM. If that date doesn’t work, there is an Advanced Giving Day phase for donations beginning at 12:00 AM on Monday, November 15 , running through November 29 at 11:59 PM.
On Nov 30 (#iGiveCatholic Giving Day), your gift will help us receive extra funds for our work in the community and beyond. By visiting our Giving Page, you can make a difference with your gift.
All gifts you make to St. Michael Parish on Nov 30 will spread the Gospel as Jesus told us to do in the Great Commission. With your help, we WILL reach our $15,000 fundraising goal on the #iGiveCatholic Giving Day!
Follow us on Facebook and Instagram so you can share in the excitement of our Catholic day of giving and remember to "give Catholic" on #GivingTuesday, Nov 30.
We have a very active campus ministry, where many college students participate daily in the volunteer activities, Bible studies, community gatherings, and sacraments through St. Michael Parish and Auburn Catholic Campus Ministry.
The ministry "strives to assist college students in growing closer to our Lord and the Gospel." From Auburn Catholic, we've seen numerous young people discerning the priesthood and religious life, domestic and international missionaries, faithful married couples and parents, and young men and women who have carried their faith proudly into the workplace. For years, students have sought to become better disciples of Jesus Christ wherever they go after they call Auburn "home."
All gifts received for #iGiveCatholic will help us finish the updating of the Campus Ministry buildings, which includes upgrading the kitchen to better serve the active ministry, as well as updating the meeting rooms used daily by students.
“During my time at Auburn, AU Catholic was a home in which I formed true friendships, a foundation from which I built my academic and social life, and a springboard to the life and vocation I am now pursuing…the Catholic priesthood.” – Collins Hess, Class of 2020, seminarian for the Diocese of Birmingham
“When I attended Auburn, the Mitcham House literally provided the space for where I encountered the person of Jesus, and it changed everything. It changed my whole life. It’s that simple.” – Andrew Collins, Class of 2015, husband and father, founder of Catholic Young Professionals in Louisville, KY
“To me, Campus ministry means a place to spend time and meet other Catholics from AU. It’s a place where I know I can go to study, pray, and have a place to hang out with my friends. From all the weekly events to Mass, the Campus Student Center satisfies both my spiritual and social needs in one place, which is truly a blessing.” – Brendan Roh, current AU Catholic President
“When I think back to my time at Auburn University…had there not been an accessible Catholic Student Center, I don’t know that I’d still be practicing my faith. I had no idea that young people were living out their Catholic faith in such a radical way, and they were happy doing it. That witness was so important for me.” – Gabby Stiehle, Class of 2020, former Catholic camp missionary
