The Knights of Columbus Family of the Month program takes great pleasure in selecting the Randall and Lisa Plaisance Family as their February 2023 “Family of the Month.” Both teach the fourth grade Religious Education class on Sunday mornings, they have been involved in the Pan Y Vino program, and were instrumental in establishing our Parish’s Young Family Group. They actively support the FOCUS ministry and have gone on numerous veterinary mission trips to South America and Africa. Son Adam is an altar server, is active in CYO and has traveled to Honduras assisting a medical missionary team. Daughter Ava was in Mini Vinnies, has helped with Vacation Bible School and 4th grade catechism, and is and active JCYO member. Their younger children, Randall and Paton, attend religious education and Vacation Bible School. We applaud the Plaisance family for demonstrating leadership in the Catholic faith, setting a STRONG example for other parishioners of how a family teams together to put its faith into action.
The Knights of Columbus Family of the Month program recognizes strong Catholic families in our Parish. The council takes great pleasure in selecting the family of Jim and Amy Himmelwright as their January 2023 “Family of the Month.” Jim is on the Parish Finance Council and has served on the Parish Council and in the CYO Program. Amy is a Eucharistic Minister, a catechist, and recently served on the SMCS Feasibility Committee. She was the primary lead in the establishment of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Atrium program, which helps our 3- to 6-year-olds develop their faith. Son Rob was an altar server and is now a member of St. Michael’s Young Adult group. Daughter Hanna was active in many church activities and currently teaches at a Catholic School in Ohio. It is clear that the Himmelwrights outwardly exhibit strong ties of love and faith, exemplifying Catholic family values and making meaningful contributions to our parish and larger community.
