St John Paul II tells us that “Man cannot live without love." In our modern world, we face many challenges to loving well: internet pornography, insecure attachment relationships, fear, and division to name a few. In this talk, Fr. Sean Kilcawley will unpack and deepen our understanding of what it means to be created in the image of God who is love, how love is distorted in our modern world, and how the image of God is restored in relationship with Christ. Topics to be covered will be:
The theology of love and relationship
How love is most commonly distorted
Resources and tools for healing, recovery, and conversion
Resources and tools for parents to protect their children from those things which ”cripple their capacity for love.” (cfr. Amoris Laetitia 281)
