Fr. Andrew Jones from St. Jude Parish in Montgomery, a former parochial vicar here at St. Michael, will give a parish mission talk after the 6 PM Mass on Wednesday, December 14. All are invited to attend Mass and then stay for the talk.

The mission is entitled "The Cross and the Crib," connecting the beginning and end of Jesus' earthly life as well as drawing from St. John of the Cross' writing (whose feast day is Dec 14).

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Fr. Andrew Jones, pastor of the City of St. Jude Parish, was born in Norfolk, VA and was raised in the Southern Baptist church until becoming a Catholic while attending George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. After graduation, he served as a full-time lay missionary with FOCUS (the Fellowship of Catholic University Students) at Auburn University and in Orlando, FL. In 2012, Fr. Jones entered the seminary for the Archdiocese of Mobile and spent six years at St. Meinrad Seminary & School of Theology in Southern Indiana, earning a M.A. in Catholic Philosophical Studies and a MDiv. in Theology in 2018. He was ordained a Priest of Jesus Christ for the Archdiocese of Mobile on June 2, 2018 and served at Little Flower Parish in Mobile, as well as St. Michael the Archangel Parish in Auburn.
