    • EASE HOUSE MEALS

St. Michael Parish partners with East Alabama Services for the Elderly (EASE) to provide weekly meals for local seniors who need help paying for or preparing meals on their own. Individuals or ministries are able to sign up for one or multiple weeks.

New 2023! The need is increasing, and in response, St. Michael parish has committed to provide 30 meals for the low-income elderly at EaseHouse each week. There are opportunities for three individuals or families to cook meals; volunteers can select to provide either 12 meals or 6 meals.

      2023 Dates

*Please pick up styrofoam "to-go" boxes from the church to use for your meal before your selected date.

      • ABOUT EASE

EASE was formed in 1974 by citizens of Auburn and Opelika to provide life sustaining services to senior citizens. The mission of the organization is outlined by the following goals:

        • To improve public attitudes toward the aging process.
        • To publicize the needs and obstacles facing the older population.
        • To provide health, educational, nutritional, and housing programs to improve the quality of life for the older population.
        • To address other areas of human needs that hinder the older population from living in a safe and nurturing environment.
