TUESDAY, 10/4
The annual Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, patron of animals, will be at the bell tower at 4 PM on 10/4. Bring your pets (leashed or crated), and be sure of total control; we expect this to be a boisterous event!
WEDNESDAY, 10/5
There will be no RCIA classes due to AU Fall Break.
FRIDAY, 10/7
-Friday’s First Friday Adoration has been moved to Frassati Chapel. Join worshippers from 9 AM to 5:45 PM and spend some time with our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration.
-5 PM Confession and 6 PM Mass have been moved to Frassati Chapel.
SATURDAY, 10/8
-The Called to Love Women’s Conference will be on Saturday; women can register through today (10/3) to receive a gift bag. There are still limited spaces available for this event! Join us. St. Joan of Arc, pray for us!
-Parishioners are invited to the Parish Hall after all Masses this weekend for the monthly socials of wine/cheese and donuts/coffee. All are welcome. (If you can help serve and clean up after any of the Masses, contact Msgr. Farmer.)
SUNDAY, 10/9
-The Knights of Columbus will be holding a new member drive after all Masses. Whether you become an individual member or a member of our council, you will find that Knights of Columbus membership brings Catholic men together in a powerful way while having fun and fellowship.
-Make a friend, be a friend, bring a friend to Christ. Join us for Ultreya in the Parish Hall at 1 PM.
-During this Respect Life month, join parishioners at the annual Life Chain in Tiger Town at the intersection of Gateway Drive and Frederick Road in front of Regions Bank. Let us stand side-by-side and defend life, publically, together. This event will be rain or shine.
-SVDP’s Big House Collection begins on October 9. The collection benefits local foster children and the families that Big House serves. Items needed include new underwear, PJs, and toiletries. For a full list, see the parish website and bulletins.
