Rising 3rd thru 6th grade boys are invited to the Baseball and Football Youth Camp, sponsored by Association of Catholic Coaches & Athletes, on July 9-12 in Fairhope, AL. Camp attendees will receive expert instruction from high school, college, and professional level coaches, both in skills/drills and in a game setting.
They’ll also participate in powerful Catholic faith sessions – the Mass, adoration, praying a decade of the rosary, etc - with the coaches and athletic-minded priests – to see that faith and sport can and should be combined! Confession time is available each day – for athletes and parents.
Cost is $295, and registration ends June 30. Note: this is a non-residential camp, so attendees will find their own place to stay. To see the camp's itinerary and more information, or to register, click here.
Lead Camp Instructor for football will be Phillip Rivers, NFL QB (2004 – 2020) and current St. Michael Catholic High School (Fairhope, AL) Head Football Coach (since 2021).
Lead Baseball Instructor for baseball is Steve Lewis, Central Alabama Community College (CACC). CACC Assistant Baseball Coach (2001 – 2014) Community College Baseball National Champions in 2013, CACC Head Baseball Coach 2014 – 2015, CACC Assistant Softball Coach (2016 – Current), currently CACC Athletic Director and Assistant Softball Coach. Coach Lewis has taught CCD at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in Alexander City (AL) for 11 years and served on the Parish Council for 4 years (3 years as President).
Additional Lead Baseball Coach: Nate La Rue, Auburn University Catcher and McGille Toolen Catholic School graduate (2019).
ACCA Camp Priest: Fr. Jon Polce, SJ. Chaplain at Jesuit High School in New Orleans. Fr. Polce loves integrating the faith and sports. He was ordained in June 2022 and on-fire for the Catholic faith and sports.
Other priests will be present on each day of the camp. Other camp instructors will consist of high school and college coaches and athletes.

He’s currently the full-time executive director of the Alabama Baseball Coaches Association.
